DALI is short for "Digital Addressable Lighting Interface" and is the worldwide standard for professional and digital LED lighting control. A lighting network basically consists of a LED controller, one or more LED drivers and a interface. This guarantees optimal monitoring and control. The protocol itself works with individually addressed components, which can also be switched on and off and dimmed in zones or groups as desired, both locally and remotely.
To enable perfect DALI communication, all fixtures in a lighting network are equipped with a standard 230V connection as well as a connection to a DALI line. A single DALI line can accommodate up to 64 components, starting with a power supply unit. Each DALI line has a maximum output current of 250 mA and a maximum length of 300 m, making DALI a highly versatile choice.
