Atmosphere, experience and functionality with LED from Tronix Lighting
Light connects and creates atmosphere and experience. As a total LED provider, Tronix offers a suitable answer to every lighting question. The illuminated aerial bridge between two apartment buildings and the special lighting solution for Dinee-Café Veertien are striking examples of this.
Special connection
In Utrecht, a special connection was recently created between two apartment complexes. The students and working young people who live there can now cross over to their neighbors via a beautifully lit aerial bridge. Owner Serge Stolk of ID Light signed for the lighting design. "The aerial bridge takes residents to the other complex," he says. "You can even switch floors along the way thanks to beautifully designed stairs, which lead almost endlessly from top to bottom and back.
Position of the power supply
"This project was by no means an abc," Stolk emphasizes. "For example, the position of the power supply was a challenge. Moreover, part of the lighting is covered, while the other part is in the open. Furthermore, we wanted the light color to match the street lighting, so the light could not be too warm. We finally chose decorative but functional LED lighting from Tronix, at 3,000 K. Both on the "wokkel staircase" and the open-air bridges. Thanks to an astro-clock, the lighting comes on automatically when darkness falls."
Customized lighting
"For me, working with Tronix is a nice one-two punch," Stolk said. "We quickly agreed: This project had to be custom-made. First we measured the air bridge, then we had the entire Neon Flex lighting including connections custom made. So I didn't have to work with glue and heat-shrink tubing myself. When a few LED strips turned out to be defective during assembly, Tronix immediately had new ones made. With that, this project was completed and delivered to everyone's satisfaction."
Daylight experience as an eye-catcher
Atmosphere, experience and emotion also played a leading role in Dinee-Café Veertien in Eersel. The owners dreamed of a stained-glass experience above their new bar, which owner Fred Verbruggen of Decofred Horeca-Interieurs more than fulfilled.
Proper lighting
"Can we create a stained-glass experience that makes it seem like you're looking from the inside out? That was the main question in this project," Verbruggen says. "But also a challenge, because we had no daylight to work with. Behind the colored, translucent light box film is just a ceiling. Choosing the right lighting was critical to success."
Eyecatcher
"In consultation with Tronix, RGB was chosen so we could play with the light color and light intensity," Verbruggen says. "The density was also crucial to achieve a nice, even scattering across the panel. In total, we processed 45m of LED lights and connected them to two power supplies, controlled through one controller. The result is beyond everyone's expectations. The entire restaurant has been given a metamorphosis, but the stained glass has become the eye-catcher."
"For me, Tronix was the ideal party for this challenge," concludes the hospitality designer. "It always strikes me how much product knowledge the Tronix employees have, no matter who you talk to. This project was a challenge, but that's where the sport is for me - and clearly for Tronix as well. Mission accomplished!" Those who choose Tronix choose a wide range of LED lighting from stock, the possibility of 1-piece purchase, (partial) production under their own brand and approachable advice from lighting experts.
