A beautiful distribution centre like Service Best International’s deserves a place in the spotlights. The car-, bicycle-, motorcycle- and truck accessory wholesaler asked Verheggen Elektrotechniek to arrange perimeter lighting for its location in Eindhoven. So Verheggen called on Pro-Light, the company co-owned by lighting consultant Juul van Brussel.

“Service Best International wanted perimeter lighting around the entire building”, recalls Juul. “We were asked to come up with a solution that would draw the outside world’s attention, using their house style color blue. That’s when we started brainstorming with Tronix. The preparations were intensive, but also a real learning experience. For example, we requested a sample of the exterior panels from the contractor, so that we at Tronix could thoroughly test the various lighting options.”

“The end result is a horizontal line of wall-wash LED strips that’s 600 meters long and two meters high. It was installed perfectly, it’s weather-proof and it has a beautiful, even bright blue light intensity. We chose an unusual position for the LED strips: they shine upwards to give a more pleasant viewing experience. And a white strip behind the vinyl panelling helps reflect the light even better. It just goes to show how careful preparation pays off in the end.”
