A carte blanche, but make it stylish and enchanting: that was the assignment Intratuin gave Anouk Piepers. Anouk (Project Manager at IDI Projects) designed the Christmas lighting for three Intratuin locations in Elst, Nuenen and Malden.

The fairy-tale atmosphere at Intratuin Elst

“Intratuin was looking for a timeless lighting design for the building facade and parking lot”, Anouk recalls. “So that visitors would immediately experience a ‘Wow!’ effect when they arrived, without exaggerated bells and whistles. We decided to use all of the existing elements, like the trees in the parking lot, the beautiful glass facade and stylish walls. The result: a lighting scheme that created the desired atmosphere all the way out to the street and the parking entrance.”

One of the techniques Anouk used was Cluster light, which follows the contours of the edge of the roof. Another eye-catching element was the more than 2,000 meters of LED lighting decorating the trees on the site. Anouk: “We chose to use a single color for the lighting: warm white-plus. We also chose for a line of lights that creates a wave effect when you move or look at it from another angle. The slightest breeze makes the trees look like they’re twinkling.”

“The LED lighting makes the trees look like they’re twinkling with the slightest breeze.”

Anouk has collaborated with Tronix for years, in part because of the good value for the money and their custom-tailored advice. “Even for last-minute projects, like this one. Intratuin wanted results in just a few weeks. And we made it happen: the lighting transformed Intratuin into an enchanting, fairy-tale location. We also thought about convenience and safety: Intratuin can leave the lighting up permanently, and we chose low voltage for the tree lighting to ensure visitors’ safety. All things considered, it was a perfect result.”
